ACTIVITIES
Here at Bird Island Bungalows we offer a variety of activities and amenities for you to enjoy.

BEACHES
We have our own private beach that is small and enclosed. It is open to enjoy whenever you like. Additionally, we are surrounded by easily accessible beaches with varying conditions (some good for snorkeling and swimming, some with rougher waves for surf, etc.) All beaches in Panama are public, so you are free to roam along the coastline as far as you’d like and you will rarely see anyone else, aside from the occasional local fishing or hunting for crabs. Don’t forget that your room booking includes free use of our snorkel gear to take with you to the beach!

POOL
Our filtered rainwater pool is always open and waiting for you to cool off, enjoy a beer or cocktail, and take in the gorgeous ocean views. Go for a swim in the deep end or relax in the shallow side with stools and benches.

YOGA
We offer yoga classes on request led by our certified instructors. Class offerings and times are varied and include vinyasa-style flows, restorative yin, and guided meditation.

SNORKELING
Your room booking includes free use of our snorkeling gear. If the ocean is calm enough it is perfect to snorkel right in front of the hotel and discover the reef, watch stingray and many other underwater miracles.

KAYAK & SUP
Your room booking includes free use of our sea kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. It is possible to take the kayaks and paddle boards out on most days, but in case of rougher waters or bad weather please check with staff prior to use.

NATURE
We are lucky to be surrounded by beautiful jungle and beaches. Feel free to roam the gardens on your own and enjoy the frogs, butterflies, and birds. Make sure to look up in the trees for howler monkeys and sloths! Alternatively, we can show you where bananas, plantains, and more edible fruits are growing and introduce you to unfamiliar tropical fruits and plants. If you would like to venture further discover the beautiful freshwater lagoon that feeds into the ocean (15 minute walk to lagoon).
