Experiences
Yoga is a daily part of life at Bird Island Bungalows. Whether it's a restorative yin session in our yoga shala as the soft light of dawn illuminates the surrounding jungle, or a Vinyasa flow at sunset, on our front deck, with waves crashing and pelicans gliding past, our certified yoga teachers offer a variety of classes designed to meet the needs and experience of all participants.
Walking trails criss-cross our 12-acre property, there are paths along the shore in both directions, and many routes deep into the jungle.
Hundreds of bird and animal species can be viewed on our property, including monkeys, sloths, toucans, hummingbirds, and parrots.
Abundant coral reefs and dramatic rock formations are found off our beach and near Bird Island and snorkeling gear is free for guests.
There is abundant coastline to explore nearby in our free kayaks (weather permitting), and a paddle to Bird Island is an epic adventure.
This famed refuge for giant orange starfish is close to Bird Island, and a wonderful place to snorkel, swim, chill out for the day, and enjoy a local meal.
This stunning sanctuary for rare red-billed tropicbirds is a haven for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and, of course, bird watching.
Accessible on foot (3 hours) or by taxi, Bluff Beach is a wide, white-sand oasis and world-class destination for serious surfers.
Popular destination for a day trip by boat, Las Zappatillas are small, beautiful undeveloped islands designated as a National Park.
