Nurture your Soul
Eating is an act of celebration at Bird Island, and a highlight of many guests visits. We cook with love, typically with ingredients sourced from our garden, regional farmers, and local fishermen. Seafood is our specialty, but we offer plenty of meat options, traditional Panamanian dishes, and a variety vegan/vegetarian alternatives. And we are always happy to accommodate dietary preferences and/or restrictions, just let us know what you need and our cooks will do their best to serve you.
Dinner
Dinner is the mainstay of the Bird Island food experience and a celebration of local and international cuisine. We offer a range of starters, soups, salads, main dishes, and desserts. Guest favorites include seafood rondon, pumpkin soup, fish fillet, and burgers (fish, beef and vegetarian versions). The home-made brownies and passionfruit cheesecake are also not to be missed.
Dinner is served from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Breakfast
Hearty breakfasts are an essential start to every day at Bird Island and are included with every room. Options include egg dishes with toast and fruit, fruit salad with yogurt and granola, a tropical smoothie bowl, homemade porridge, and more. Coffee and tea are self-service, starting at 8 am, and espresso and fresh fruit smoothies are available for an additional charge.
Breakfast is served from 8 am to 10 am.
Lunch
Lunch is served a la carte at our poolside bar, our menu features some of the most celebrated dishes at Bird Island: Caribbean tacos on fresh corn tortillas (fish, shrimp, chicken, or veggies), fish dip with coco bread, fish burger with plantains, garden bowl, Cuban bowl and a variety of salads, snacks, and ceviches. Fresh fruit and alcoholic drinks are also available all day long.
Lunch is served from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Drinks
Our poolside bar is a central gathering area for guests during the day, and where our bartender, Nico, dazzles guests with fresh fruit smoothies and designer cocktails. Happy hour, from 5 pm to 6 pm is often the busiest time of day at the bar, but we offer a bar menu with snacks all day long, and our roof deck, with unobstructed views of the Drago coast, is one of the nicest spots to sip a drink and enjoy the sunset.
The bar is open from 10 am to 9 pm.
