We offer simple, comfortable accommodations for a range of budgets and needs. Three bungalows offer privacy, ocean views, and decks with ample space to relax. Seven ocean-view rooms are in our main building, with a shared deck and proximity to the pool, bar, and restaurant. Two jungle suites offer privacy in the bush: large rooms with decks overlooking the forest. A wholesome breakfast is included with every room, as is high-speed internet.
Nourish the soul with our locally sourced, globally inspired cuisine. Main dishes are prepared vegetarian, with the option to add fish, shrimp, chicken, tofu or chorizo. And every dinner is inspired by a different culture -- Caribbean, Japanese, Indian, Thai -- creating distinct authentic flavors. Hearty breakfasts are included with every stay, ranging from egg dishes to fruit salads. Lunches are served a la carte, and include sandwiches, bowls and pressed juices. And our bar offers fresh juices and designer cocktails -- try our Happy Hour!
Group getaways are our specialty at Bird Island. Whether a yoga retreat, family reunion, gathering of friends, ceremony, or small company off-site, we'll coordinate with group leaders to plan the perfect visit based on group goals, budgets, and participant needs. We can coordinate transportation, allocate rooms, prepare meals, organize excursions, and handle logistics so groups can focus on connection and enjoyment. Discounted lodging and meals are available to groups whether they book the entire resort, or a fixed number of rooms.
There are two ways to reach Bird Island from the airport: guests can either request a taxi pickup ($35 for the 45-minute journey, for up to four passengers), or they can take the public bus from Bocas Town to Playa Drago ($2.50 per person) and then catch our free shuttle from Drago (offered 3x per day).
